Welcome to
The House Of Sham!

Sam the Sham has been writing, recording and performing music for over 40 years. Many people know Sam the Sham the recording artist, but in the midst of the many articles written about the performer, sad to say, fiction has been woven with fact. As Sam puts it, "There were times when things got so crazy, I didn't know which one of the Pharaoh's I was."

Get to know the man behind the mask and read the facts as remembered by the person that lived them; Sam himself. Step into his current projects, Ballads, Country, Gospel and more. Purchase new music, poetry, view amazing photos taken by "The Man".

Sam's "Wooly Bully" created a worldwide sensation, selling over 3 million copies and was Billboard's Record of the Year for 1965. It stayed on the U.S. Top 40 for 18 weeks and continues to get great airplay to this day. It was also used in movie sound tracks like "Encino Man."

"Lil' Red Riding Hood" peaked at #1 on Cashbox and #2 on Billboard in August of 1966. It also recieves great current airplay. Both songs are timeless in tribute of American History, from Beach Combers to Vietnam Vetrans. Both have been used in numerous advertisements.

Sam recieved a Grammy Award in 1971 for his liner notes on his Classic LP "Hard & Heavy." You can see Sam's acknowledgements in the "Music" section.

Sam received critical acclaim for his work with Ry Cooder on the "Soundtrack for the film The Border."
